The Main Beach camping area stretches for 38kms along the Eastern side of the island along Main Beach and there are 15 areas to choose from. Access is by 4WD only and some of the areas can be tricky to get to over very high dunes. Dogs are permitted however MUST be kept on a leash at all times and the Rangers are very vigilant in this regard and will issue fines.
