The Shelly Point Camping Area within the Scamander Conservation Area is just off the Tasman Highway right on the ocean.  This is a free camping area with an undesignated area suitable for all but the very large caravans.  There is a drop toilet however there are no other facilities.  Dogs are not permitted here. Fires are permitted with caution as this is a very exposed area.  The view is quite amazing.
